Dyking Stone

Dyking Stone
Dyking Stone

Pitairlie Dyking Stone is handpicked with care ensuring that the stone is:
  • Flat bedded

  • Of varying dimensions
A manageable size
Once picked it is stored inside to ensure that it is delivered onto site as clean and dry as possible.
Our dyking stone can be supplied in 500kg bags.

The handpicked dyking stone has minimal shale content as much of this is eliminated during
picking and processing. However the finished product still retains a small percentage and we would strongly advise that your dyke or feature is built by a competent and qualified dyker who is familiar with building with our stone and is aware of the possible shale element.

Any shale found is ideal for packing within the dyke and should not be considered as waste. It should NEVER be used on the outer faces of the wall or as copes.
