Provide a new secure entrance; replace the existing defective glass barrel vault roof with a low maintenance alternative whilst creating a dramatic atrium space appropriate for a B-listed Building located on the Royal Mile. Externally curved aluminium standing seam roof encloses the existing atrium and internally the specialist curved ceiling boards have been installed to improve the acoustic properties of the atrium whilst expressing the existing structure. In addition glazed gables have been introduced to reflect the existing structural language and maximise the use of natural light.
