Garden Room Lanark
Projecting out into the garden from the existing sandstone house this elegant contemporary extension provides a generously scaled naturally lit family living space. A carefully composed arrangement of copper, white render and high performance windows distinguish the Garden Room from the original house whilst the internal re-modelling allows the original and new spaces flow into each other.
The new double garage to the front of the house matches the materiality of the Garden room and the interplay of the two buildings creates an informal entrance courtyard.
The works involved include:
- Formation of Garden room and stand alone garage
- Internal re-modelling
- Fabric repairs and removal of 1950s render to expose stone walls
- Lime mortar re-pointing,
- Sandstone indenting and repairs,
- Roofing works
- Garden Landscaping
