Practice Statement
In 2011, Sheena Raeburn, John Farquhar and Nick Bowen became exclusive owners of Ian White Associates Landscape Architects. As Ian White retired from the running of the practice, the new directors ensured a smooth transition for staff and clients.
In 2020, we became RaeburnFarqhuarBowen.
Our Directors are proud of what the studio has become in the past eight years, and feel that now, as we enter a new decade, is an appropriate time for our young practice to take on a new identity; one that looks to our future. Our continued evolution as a practice, embracing sustainable design with expertise in green infrastructure, community co-design and outdoor recreation, reflects national and international prioritisation of sustainability, biodiversity and climate resilience. Our interests lie in creating rich, diverse landscapes for people and wildlife to cohabit, and in developing exciting and relevant designs through open engagement and community co-design.
We strive to ensure the landscapes we create and manage are resilient, biodiverse and resource-efficient; we believe that our work should contribute to meeting UN Sustainable Development Goals, and in so doing deliver long-term value to our clients. We are landscape architects who enjoy our role in helping our clients achieve beautiful and multi-functional places that nourish people and nature.
