Fife Housing Group has commenced the delivery of 49 homes at Glen Albyn, Kirkcaldy, to designs by Oliver & Robb Architects.

A range of houses and cottages meeting energy and space heating gold standards are to be delivered by the JR Group, featuring integral solar panels, and enhanced insulation.

Bird and bat boxes will be installed in each new building and a wildflower meadow within the site is to be retained.

Andrew Dallas, projects director at The JR Group, said: “These new homes at Glen Albyn are high quality and have a strong sustainability focus, which reflects more accurately how we live today and how we will live in the future. Its green credentials are key to the project, and we are incredibly proud of what we are set to deliver for the Kirkcaldy community."

Property consultants Hardies and engineers Bayne Stevenson Associates are assisting with the build.
