North Lanarkshire schools trio set for renewal

Hub South West is inviting suppliers and trades to bid for work on the delivery of a trio of schools across North Lanarkshire.

The renewal programme includes a new Carnbroe Sikeside Primary led by Morgan Sindall & Norr and earmarked for a site at Paddock Street, Coatbridge.

This will be joined by a new Chryston Primary and Health Centre on land south of Cliffvale Road and east of Lanrig Road to designs by Ryder Architecture and Robertson.

The final project involves the co-location of pupils from Newmains and St Brigid's to a new shared campus overseen by BDP and BAM Construction.

CEO of hub South West, Michael McBrearty, said: “Our 'Meet the Buyer' events form a vital strand of our mission to engage the greatest possible number of local businesses in major infrastructural and educational projects being undertaken by our Tier 1 contractors."

All three schools are set to break ground within the next two to nine months.
