O’DonnellBrown have obtained planning consent to deliver four mews houses on landlocked vacant ground at Kelvinhaugh, Glasgow.

Developed by Mitre Properties the West End build will see upside down terraced homes rise at Overnewton Place, with bedrooms positioned on the ground floor and an open plan living space above spanning the full depth of the dual aspect space above.

Access to each property is via a private entrance courtyard screened by brick pillars supporting a south-facing upper terrace, connected to the living area via sliding glass doors.

O’DonnellBrown director Jennifer O’Donnell said: “This work supports the changing needs of the city dweller in response to the pandemic and the climate emergency. We are encouraged and inspired by the work to develop the nearby Yorkhill and Kelvingrove Cycling Village, and with our client’s support we were able to optimise the plan so that each home has space to store two bikes, external space to clean a bike and a bike repair stand in the shared garden.”

Delivery of the mews properties can now get underway in the New Year.

That would be a good site for allotment gardens.

A lot of allotted allotments allocated to all the areas adults allowing the alley to be given the allusion of environmental awareness would be alright.

Given the choice I'd prefer to have my own house in finnieston than my own cabbage patch, personally.
