A £14m care home has opened in Clydebank in compliance with Covid-19 guidance following delivery by CCG on behalf of West Dunbartonshire Council Health and Social Care Partnership (WDHSCP).

Queens Quay House provides 24 flats, each with their ensuite and living areas and supportive colour schemes chosen by the residents to ensure their comfort and independence.

Communal spaces include lounges, hobby spaces and a cinema as well as a variety of courtyard and garden spaces including sculptures and a water feature.  

Councillor Marie McNair, vice-chair of WDHSCP, said: “This new home and day service, built on the former John Brown site, will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care of the older people in our community whilst also promoting their independence. The design and layout have been carefully considered to provide outstanding internal features and courtyards and external communal gardens where residents can enjoy indoor and outdoor activities in a safe, uplifting and accessible environment.”

A further 144 affordable homes are being built on an adjacent site to complete in spring 2022.

Nice building well thought out i live in Willox Park which is dire need of repair why can't they build a new Complex

Thou shall never escape .....

Nice building and I like the central court years but there is a strong institutional, prison like fortress element to it.

£14m divided by 24 flats = £583k a unit

errrrrr …. think someone's been ripped off

#3 So you know the price of everything and the value of nothing!
Not many 'flats' come with facilities such as cinema, hobby room and other communal spaces for your 50 pals to visit daily!
