GHA score Calton-Barras hat trick

CCG has broken ground on a development of 32 homes for mid-market rent on land to the east of Glasgow city centre.

Delivered on behalf of Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) to designs by John Gilbert Architects the project will rise on a brownfield site bounded by Little Dovehill and Bell Street.

Future tenants will have access to a private backcourt area and provision for five electric charging compatible parking bays, three of which will be reserved for wheelchair users and the remainder serving the Glasgow City Car Club.

Enabled by a £2.4m grant from Glasgow City Council the project is one of three sites being delivered as part of the Calton-Barras Action Plan, which also includes Bell Street Stables and a new build block on Watson Street.

The latest homes are expected to complete by next summer.
