Loch Lomond leadership centre poised for planning

The Hunter Foundation has declared its intent to lodge a formal planning application to build a £10m leadership centre at Ross Priory on the south shore of Loch Lomond by March.

Delivered in partnership with the University of Strathclyde the Hunter Global Leadership Centre has been conceived as a training hub for teachers as well as the business community and public sector.

Designed by Kettle Collective the leadership hub will take its cue from the natural landscape, building on the approach taken at the Ripple Retreat to create a sustainable venue capable of hosting up to 100 attendees as well as small groups of up to 25 teachers and trainees.

Sir Tom Hunter, philanthropist and founder of The Hunter Foundation said: “Our vision is to create an iconic, world-class leadership centre where the future of Scotland will be discussed, debated and ultimately decided.”

Complementary bedroom pods will blend into the surrounding landscape.

Mr Hunter, I’d have thought the future of Scotland should be “ultimately decided” at the ballot box.
