Aberdeen commences largest council house programme in 50 years

Aberdeen City Council has agreed on terms to proceed with the delivery of 283 council homes at Dyce after partnering with First Endeavour to deliver the build.
Designed by Halliday Fraser Munro the properties will be split between five separate blocks, each oriented on a north/south axis with a series of linear parks sandwiched between.
Council co-leader councillor Douglas Lumsden commented: “Our new-build programme is gathering momentum with several projects underway or about to start.
“This isn’t just about building housing – it’s about building communities and opportunities and ensuring that our city continues to prosper in an inclusive way.”
The £30m project is expected to break ground in the autumn with the authority committed itself to building 2,000 further council homes across the city, said to be the largest such programme embarked upon in over 50 years.
Fingers of greenery will surround each block
Properties will be finished in a mix of brick, zinc and white render

Poor beggars, nothing learnt on the design of defensible space, meaningful amenity, and avoiding rat runs. I guess no ones got the stomach to change the building footprints but for folks sake please hire a decent landscape architect to try and fix the space and movement between those monsters.
