New owners sought for former Dundee College Campus

A former Dundee College campus with planning consent for 135 apartments has been placed on the open market by Whiteburn Properties.

Dating from the seventies the former Dundee College of Commerce has lain disused since closing its doors in 2011 during which time a number of residential proposals have been brought forward, all of which have come to nothing.

Makela Milne, associate director at JLL, commented: “30 Constitution Road lies in an established residential area, within walking distance of the City’s universities, restaurants, cafes and shops. It is also close to the train station and the new V&A Museum, making it a prime location for a residential redevelopment of scale and significance.”

The most recent application from Keppie called for the brutalist tower to be over clad and converted to residential use with a cinema, gym and café built within the 2.26-acre grounds.
