Cordale Housing Association bring life back to Renton Main Street

Cordale Housing Association and Clark Contracts have completed work on a £1.6m head office in the West Dunbartonshire village of Renton.

Designed by Grant Murray Architects the build seeks to revitalise Main Street by replacing a parade of dilapidated shops with flexible office space, improving the delivery and access to housing services in the process.

Margaret McCallion, Chair of Cordale’s board, said: “The Cordale committee always had an ambition to build on this particular location.  We knew it would transform the appearance of the village. The empty shops that were situated on this site were an eyesore.  They had lay derelict for over a decade.  The heart of our village was an environmental blight, a source of frustration to all those that resided in and cared about Renton.”

Cordale HA will move into their new head office next month.

That transition from verge to eaves... I've never seen anything like it.
