Stricken Carbon Dynamic saved by Pat Munro

Stricken off-site manufacturing specialists Carbon Dynamic has been rescued by Inverness based construction business Pat Munro, its administrators have announced.

In a statement accountants KPMG confirmed that the business and assets, under their administration since 6 December, would be transferred to the ownership of a new company managed by Pat Munro expressly for the purpose of facilitating the purchase.

Blair Nimmo, joint administrator and head of restructuring at KPMG in Scotland, commented: “We would also like to wish Pat Munro and Carbon Dynamic (Scotland) Limited every success for the future. As new owners they have an ambitious vision to build on Carbon Dynamic’s reputation for cutting edge design and manufacture of eco-friendly modular buildings, re-employing a number of Carbon Dynamic’s former staff and contributing to the diversity of the economy in the Scottish Highlands.”

The transaction will protect 42 jobs at the modular specialist as Pat Munro seeks to expand its own interest in the sector.

Great news. I suspect Pat Munros will be able to make this work given their resources and recent diversification.
