Queensberry Properties home in on New Waverley

Queensberry Properties are to bring forward 66 homes at Edinburgh’s New Waverley development after acquiring the residential development from Artisan Real Estate Investors.

The first housing component of the £200m Allan Murray Architects masterplan comprises a combination of apartments, houses and maisonettes together with 11,000sq/ft of retail and commercial space and 59 underground parking places.

Steven Simpson, director of Queensberry Properties, said: “We have recently delivered some of Edinburgh’s most successful prime residential developments, but our acquisition of what will be the first residential element to be developed within New Waverley takes us to an exciting, new level.”

Construction could begin in the first quarter of 2019 to complete from summer 2020.

Earlier this year Queensberry acquired a residential site on the banks of the River Kelvin in Glasgow.

Utterly crass development with zero contextual reference.
Mini bronze turd sculpture is very apt.

Had a look down at this site the other day from beside St Andrew's House on Calton Hill. There is some seriously nasty bright red/ orange cladding being fitted on one of the closest buildings that's just being finished.

Just. Say No.

#3 nasty, turgid cladding, go anywhere architecture and monotonous flat roofs...in the heart of the old town. It’s a horrid and completely out of place development.
Great effort AMA and CEC planning.

They really should include the moss and staining under the copings. Make it a bit more realistic.

The mini golden turd sculpture says it all.
