HAA Design give the inside track on UWS Hamilton campus

Interior design consultancy HAA Design have thrown open the doors to their latest build, the £110m UWS Hamilton Campus.
Comprising three distinct buildings interlinked by a shared street, a dramatic central volume doubling as a work and social space, the campus offers a flexible learning and teaching environment packed with technology.
In a statement the UWS wrote: “The design reflects the UWS belief in the transformative power of co-created learning. Every space offers an area to learn and collaborate, with a range of facilities to choose from to support students in their studies. The spaces have been specifically designed to equip students with the skills most desired by industry, including collaboration, creativity and communication.”
Located in Hamilton International Technology Park students will be whisked in on a fleet of UWS-branded Wi-Fi enabled buses
Mosaic served as architects for the project with Graven Images responsible for the ‘street’ connection and 3FOLD taking care of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
A range of books, journals and digital resources bring knowledge to students fingertips
Students will benefit from an on-site restaurant and gym

Regarding the design vibe -- getting too close to the Free School movement for my liking. Need some space -- why put in the effort of designing a purpose built facility? Job lot of business park chalets going spare ...
Big question -- did they get a good deal?
Who needs a town centre location when you can get your hands on some "UWS-branded Wi-Fi enabled buses" to fill the gap?
Then there is the lack of sports facilities.
Maybe the Free College ethos means they aren't needed -- shame.
