Minor King’s Stables Road revisions approved

Fletcher Joseph Associates have secured a prized planning consent from the City of Edinburgh Council which grants developer Campus DM and Peveril Securities permission to proceed with the latest phase of their King’s Stables Road project.

The updated permission relates to an increase in hotel provision and follows on from initial approval of the wider site masterplan in 2016, later revised in 2018 to include additional housing.

Now the number of homes has been reduced from 16 flats to eight mews residences, with the scheme as a whole delivering 52 homes across the site. Other minor amendments include a realigned roof to match its original pitch, an increase in hotel capacity by a further 16 rooms and a relocated entrance.

Work is already well underway on the housing and student residential components of the mixed-use plan, expected to complete in autumn 2019.
