CALA push Bothwell apartment living

CALA Homes are drumming up interest in a block of 12 apartments in Bothwell ahead of the launch of a show apartment designed by interior designer Eileen Kesson in August.

Conceived alongside masterplanners EMA, Riverside is named after its location on the banks of the Clyde with the promise of ‘bespoke’ homes within easy commuting distance of Glasgow.

Promoting the homes CALA wrote: “It’s a shared passion for craftsmanship, architectural heritage and innovative design that encourages our architects and designers to continuously set the industry standard.

“With external finishes inspired by and sympathetic to their surroundings, you’ll find just as much character and personality on the inside. Generous flowing spaces are more inviting and the finish and specification contain many unexpected touches that will make your life just that little bit easier.”

The homes will be built on greenfield land off Old Bothwell Road.

The work of The Great Blandini, if I am not mistaken.

A prime example of a company doing the bare minimum. It reflects just as badly on SLC that they have such a low threshold for design quality.

EMA and CALA are capable of so much more. I don't understand why a 'green field' site has been give a consent with such low quality. I'm guessing they've played the old 'key worker' provision card?

must be the same person writing all these press releases, first we had colonies which aren't anything like colonies and now we have this industry standard innovative design from cala!
They can't even squeeze a big couch into a visualisation, talk about aspiration...

Are other cities in western Europe surrounding themselves in a desolation of Wimpey homes and rendered flats? Because we sure are.

Depressing and overpriced in equal measure.

Is it too small for purpose or too cluttered to be inhabited? Also, is this ugly detector necessary placed centrally on the ceiling? Gosh, it is utterly ugly for sure.

CALA and Bothwell - a match made in heaven.
They so deserve one another.
