Girvan hospital breaks ground
Works have commenced on site at Austin-Smith:Lord’s Girvan Community Hospital, Ayrshire.

The £21.5 million building for NHS Ayrshire & Arran will see the existing Davidson Cottage Hospital and Girvan Health Centre combined to provide two GP surgeries, in & out patient care, a casualty unit, facilities for x-ray and a new base for The Scottish Ambulance Service.

The latest in environmental design will be considered, tackling sustainability with a number of renewable technologies including toilets flushed by rainwater, a wind turbine and biomass boiler.  Albeit on a greenfield site.
