Glenrothes affordable housing drive gets the nod
A development of 78 affordable homes in Glenrothes, has been handed the all-clear from planners, clearing the way for construction to begin on a mix of bungalows, amenity housing and detached properties.

A brownfield site at Cullen Drive has been earmarked by Fife Council for the project, to be delivered in conjunction with Barton Willmore and Robertson Partnership Homes.

Stuart Bishop, architecture director at Barton Willmore, said: “This project is in line with Fife Council’s ongoing commitment to placemaking and creating sustainable communities, as well as contributing to alleviating Scotland’s housing shortage through the delivery of much needed new family homes.

“Cullen Drive will be a high-quality, vibrant neighbourhood that will create a highly attractive and desirable environment in which to enjoy life.”

Public realm upgrades are included in the package of works which will connect the new homes with existing streets and infrastructure.
The homes are being delivered as part of a much larger council house building programme by Fife Council
