Contracts awarded for University of Glasgow campus development
The University of Glasgow has appointed engineering services provider WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff to help deliver an HLM designed learning and teaching hub at its Gilmorehill campus in addition to a research hub on land currently occupied by the Western Infirmary.

Patrick Clark, HLM associate director, said: “As part of the University’s commitment to being a world-class, world-changing university, we are delighted to have been appointed to develop the proposals for the Learning and Teaching Hub.

“This student focused building will support a motivated, vibrant and diverse community of learners and teachers to evolve innovative and effective approaches to study and pedagogy.

“The Learning and Teaching Hub will also be pivotal in the connectivity between the existing Gilmorehill campus, the western expansion and the wider West End.”

Work on the new hub isn’t expected to get underway until next year.
