Contractor named for £5.7m Fort William council HQ
Robertson has been appointed to undertake a £5.7m extension and conversion of a B-listed school in Fort William to form office space for Highland Council and will move on site next month.

Designed in-house the £6m project will see a contemporary extension built and interiors reorganised to form a new reception space, registry, council chambers, committee rooms and office space.

Frank Reid, regional managing director for Robertson Northern said: “This project will be a significant development for the town of Fort William and wider Lochaber and bring back to life a much loved building close to many people’s hearts.

The former Achintore Secondary has lain disused since 1960 will play host to amalgamated services from across the Lochaber area by summer 2017 in a bid to reduce operating costs.
