Designed by Halliday Fraser Munro as part of the practice’s master plan for the area the scheme would include a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached properties together with shared surfaces built to Designing Streets standards.
In a statement Keppie Planning said: “The applicant has investigated the acquisition of additional land within Bargeddie, with a view to providing a healthcare facility within the village.
“The applicant has confirmed a significant interest from one of its trusted, third party, health care provider partners, and if the Council are minded to do so, the applicant and their partners would be happy to enter into discussions regarding the provision of a healthcare facility.
“This could be provided as a direct community benefit from the development, secured through an appropriate legal agreement.”
The planned estate would border Drumpellier Country Park.
