7N flesh out Edinburgh Airport Business Gateway plan

December 15 2015submitted outline plans for a significant urban extension close to Edinburgh Airport – phase one of the International Business Gateway.
Built on agricultural land around a tram stop and transport corridor the development would feature a large central square for events, street markets and exhibitions. Off this a series of avenues would branch out lined by hotels, office space and homes.
In their design statement 7N observed: “The landscape proposals, are coordinated with the architectural and urban design approach for the development and seek to create an overall quality of place making appropriate for a business, commercial and residential development of international prominence.”
Developed by New Ingliston Ltd, Murray Estates, Frogmore & Salmon Harvester the initial phase of work would stretch to 2,276,704sq/ft of floor space.
