Offering space for up to 150 children between the ages of three and 18 the school will be located on the city’s Howes Road, replacing the existing Woodlands and Hazelwood schools.
Angela Taylor, convener of education and children’s committee at Aberdeen City Council, said the project exemplified the council’s ‘… desire to work in partnership with other agencies such as NHS Grampian to deliver a holistic service which fully meets the needs of children with complex additional support needs.’
Work is expected to get underway next month for completion by April 2017.
