September 10 2015St Vincent Plaza, Glasgow, by preparing designs for a 60,000sq/ft office development within a secure zone at Rosyth Dockyard, Fife.
This will see the existing Navy House demolished and replaced with grade A office space for occupation by Babcock Group specialists in the defence, marine, science and technology sectors.
In their design statement Keppie said: “The building’s architecture is refined and honest, and follows a simple and bold language which enhances its identity and legibility. Clean geometric lines provide an engineered appearance to the building which complements the surrounding industrial dockyard.
“There is a consistent palette of materials with a neutral colour scheme of light and dark greys that is consistent with the surrounding industrial buildings. Metal composite panels mixed with extensive glazed façades that maximise the available views whilst still maintaining the building security.”
Externally the open plan office space will be faced in vertically oriented aluminium cladding panels and a glazed aluminium curtain walling system.
