Work gets underway on new Ayr homes
Ayrshire housing have begun work on a 22 home development on a key approach to Ayr town centre, offering a mixture of flats and houses for rent on the site of a former school.

The £2.5m project has been designed by John Gilbert Architects on land bounded by King Street and Limonds Wynd with completion pencilled in for May 2016.

Provost Moonie commented: “It’s great to see Ayrshire Housing despite all the financial challenges maintaining its commitment to high quality sustainable housing. These new houses will go some way to address the pressing need for affordable housing in Ayr.”

Main contractor Ashleign Building has been tasked with delivering the project.

Now get some mature trees in there and planting and domestication (or in short, life) and this is more civilised than the Partick student warehouse accommodation - by a mile.
