Dundee’s Baldragon Academy given go-ahead
Dundee City Council has given the go-ahead to Baldragon Academy, a 1,100 place secondary school incorporating its own sports hall and swimming pool.

Scheduled to open in 2016 the shared campus will incorporate the existing Sidlaw View Primary and Jessie Porter Nursery and is to be built on the playing fields of the existing secondary.

Classrooms will be arranged around a central naturally lit social space, designed to minimise disruption as pupils migrate between classes.

The £27m school, the city’s first three-tier campus, will be built by Robertson with Holmes Miller as architect.
