Inverness College UHI conduct topping out ceremony at new campus
Inverness College UHI has conducted a topping out ceremony for the first new building to emerge at the under construction Inverness Campus, designed by BDP.

Distinguished by a series of giant copper rooftop pods, designed to regulate hear, the £50m build centres on a 45ft tall foyer.
Scott Alexander, area director for Miller Construction, said: “We are delighted to have achieved this important milestone on the project.

We are on schedule to deliver the new college in early summer 2015 and will then maintain the building for a period of 25 years.”

The college will play host to around 8,000 students when it opens its doors and forms part of a wider master plan for the area drawn up by 7N Architects and Lisa Mackenzie Consultancy.

An enterprise and research centre, life science building, sports facilities and a hotel will also be built on campus.
