JAMstudio move into new Aberdeen base
Aberdeen based architecture practice JAMstudio have moved into a new city centre office space to cater for the studio’s nine strong team.

A six figure sum has been spent on transforming the interior of the 1,500sq/ft Golden Square property which is three times the size of its former base at Kemnay, Fetternear.

JAMstudio director Marie-Louise Dunk, said: “Whilst our team has enjoyed the practice’s rural setting, as time has progressed we have outgrown it both in terms of practical space, and in terms of visibility to our target market. Having celebrated our tenth birthday last year, and with our continued growth and development, 2014 presented itself as the perfect opportunity to make a strategic move to the city.

“We are lucky to be in the position to make the Golden Square office interior our own. We have a real passion for great interior architecture – after all, your workspace is where you spend a huge majority of your time. It has been proven that the physical layout of an office can have a direct impact on productivity and staff retention, and so our need to showcase a prime example of a fun, inspirational, yet functional workspace was essential.”

Recent projects to be undertaken by the practice include a fit out of Dana Petroleum’s Aberdeen HQ and a new visitor centre at Dalmore distillery.
