Scottish Civic Trust appoints Alistair Scott as new chair
Alistair Scott, one of the founders of Edinburgh based architecture practice Smith Scott Mullan Associates, has been appointed as the new chair of the Scottish Civic Trust.

Appointed by Trust director John Pelan for his experience in design, community engagement, master planning and regeneration Scott will be tasked with breaking down communication barriers between professionals and the communities they serve.

Scott said: “I look forward to working with fellow Trustees and staff to take forward the many initiatives and forward plans of the Trust.  SCT is a small but very active and important organisation.  It continues to play a valuable and valued role in wider Scottish civic society.”

The Scottish Civic Trust is a network of local civic groups established to promote, protect and celebrate buildings and places.
