Edinburgh Centre for Carbon innovation tops EAA awards
Malcolm Fraser Architects have secured the best in show ‘Building of the Year’ award from the Edinburgh Architectural Association for their work on the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation.

Eleven projects were shortlisted from forty six entries for the annual awards, each of which was visited in turn by a judging panel throughout March.

Four other projects joined the centre on the winner’s podium with LDN’s Abbotsford Centre topping the bill in the regeneration and conservation category and WT Architecture’s Inverleith Row winning out amongst small project contenders.

Elsewhere Keppie won a wood award for their work on the Helix Café Pavilion and Icosis Architects landed an ambassador award for Window on Wild Lindisfarne.

This year’s judging panel comprised Father Dermot Morrin Hon FRIAS, Chapel of Saint Albert the Great, Shona Clelland, general manager of The Assembly Rooms, Donald Canavan RIAS, EAA Vice President and Peter Robinson RIAS, EAA Council member.
