Dundee’s Malmaison Hotel readies for launch
Malmaison has announced that it is to make its Dundee debut on 10 February when the hotel chain throws open the doors of its latest venture.

Situated within the B listed Mather’s and Tay Hotel overlooking the River Tay and Captain Scott’s RSS Discovery the 91 bedroom venue will feature its own bar and brasserie alongside an events space.

This has seen the historic building fully restored together with the redevelopment of a former service yard.

Interior spaces have been overseen by Curious Design & Architecture and include a heated terrace and mezzanine level to take advantage of the spectacular views.

The hotel is nine months behind schedule having originally been slated to open in May 2013.

Beautiful! Late, but a stunning building both inside and out.

Will be fabulous for those indiscreet meets as you longingly gaze out through the window from the roll top bath tub across the demolished train station and partially demolished swimming pool...sarcasm aside this is great for Dundee, just hope it will be able to stay open before the V&A iceberg lands a shore.
