Eastwood Health & Care Centre secures planning
Renfrewshire Council have granted planning consent to the £15.5m Eastwood Health & Care Centre to be built on the site of the former Isobel Mair School, Clarkston.

Designed by Gareth Hoskins Architects the project will provide a suite of GP, clinical and social care facilities, replacing a number of existing buildings which are no longer fit for purpose.

The three storey building is set back from the street amidst surface parking lots with public consultation and treatment areas located on the ground floor and staff spaces above.

Arranged around twin courtyard spaces, the scheme is designed to maximise natural daylight and ventilation throughout the 6,000sq/m building.

The move clears the way for Morgan Sindall to commence construction on the new facility in the spring for completion by early 2015.
