The Willows provides accommodation for up to six children in single, en-suite bedrooms and includes an atrium, communal space, kitchen and dining room all overlooking secure gardens.
External landscaped areas also incorporate recreation facilities and a games area.
Martin Wylie, associate architect at Keppie Design in Belfast, said: “The main requirement was to provide the children with not only a safe and secure environment but also a comfortable one. We designed a modern domestic style facility with natural light introduced through full height glazing and extensive roof lights where possible."
It follows Keppie's prior work designing the UK's first sexual assault centre for the Trust.
