NHS Dumfries & Galloway to host hospital bidding day
NHS Dumfries & Galloway has announced it is to host a bidder’s day for a new £200m district hospital in Dumfries on 28 June.

Partners are being sought for the design, build, finance and maintenance of the 350 bed project which is being delivered under a non-profit distributing model.

Subject to the necessary consents a preferred bidder for the detailed design and construction of the scheme will be selected next year.

Work is then expected to commence in Spring 2015 on the Keppie designed scheme to be ready for use by early 2018 with procurement commencing this summer.

Anyone interested in attending should contact Dawn Diamond at dawn.diamond@nhs.net.

The whole idea of getting consortia with a design team to go through competitive dialogue is to better the design thats been done already. So the Keppie scheme will not be built, it's just 'artists impressions' for getting outline planning...
Perhaps time to find out a bit about procurement UR!
