Final phase of Erskine war veteran accommodation nears completion
War veteran’s charity Erskine is pressing ahead with the latest phase of its residential development at Bishopton, Renfrewshire, after awarding the £1.1m build contract to Mactaggart & Mickel.

Designed by Mast Architects it will see 10 two and three bedroom semi-detached bungalows built to replace outmoded existing accommodation by better suiting the varying needs of families under Erskine’s care across an existing estate of 34 properties.

Peter Shepherd, director of Mactaggart & Mickel Contracts, said: “We are proud to be part of a project that has enabled us to provide accommodation designed to meet the specific needs of our ex-servicemen and women through working with an organisation like Erksine.

“Our ongoing partnership with both the design team and the charity through all phases of this project is testament to our ability to create bespoke developments that deliver on quality and value for money.”

Construction is due to be completed by March 2013.
