Home Group appoint six practices to housing framework
Social landlord the Home Group has announced that Collective Architecture,  ECD, HTA, Mae LLP, Metropolitan SPG Workshop and Penoyre and Prasad have all been selected to sit on its Southern Architects Framework Agreement following a tender process.

The social housing provider is seeking to build innovative homes and neighbourhoods in a four year development programme that will see each Framework member bid to design and build housing in the Midlands, South West, South East, East and London.

Valued at £2.8m over the next four years it will ultimately deliver more than 1,000 homes for the Homes and Communities Agency.

Dhruv Adam Sookhoo, Home Group’s head of design, said: “Appointing these highly experienced, talented practitioners on our Southern Architects Framework is about establishing a community of practice that can help Home Group achieve the very best possible design in every project we deliver.”

£2.8m for 1000 homes! wow! I know we are living in austere times but surely someone has got their sums wrong! Is the Collective party photo relevant!?

Hi Kojac - the £2.8m figure refers to the design element of the contract only.

The six practices will be able to bid for £700k of this every 12 months of the four year period.
