Gordon Murray Architects enter liquidation
Reports suggest Gordon Murray Architects have entered liquidation just 20 months after the breakup of Murray’s 12 year partnership with Alan Dunlop - which brought an end to the gm+ad brand.

Murray is well respected within the architectural community and has acted as an important bridge between practice and academia through his role as head of Strathclyde University’s architecture school.

Murray established the practice from the bulk of gm+ad architects and described his practice’s vision as “encouraging creativity, innovation and collaboration whilst promoting sustainability.”

A spokesperson for Gordon Murray Architects said they couldn’t comment on the matter at this stage.

The future of the practices 15 staff is unclear.

Extremely sad times to see this happen to another high profile Scottish practice, hats off to everything they all achieved together over the years!

Classy Glasgow architectural outfit, work for a rival but took pride in showing people their buildings when touring the city.

Gordon Murray would be a stellar signing for remaining practices.

Pretty poor show that news stories get pulled for random reasons, simply because unpopular views are expressed.

How long til all trace of GMA going bust is wiped from urban realm?

Not surprise at all it was pulled, although there are clearly a lot of people hurt by this, the level of abuse and vitriol was too much. It would not do the new practice any good.
