Keppie unveil Coatbridge Community Hub
Keppie have officially opened an £18m Coatbridge community hub housing council services, a library, two GP surgeries and two dental practices.

It marks the first in a series of joint ventures between health boards and local authorities toward sharing facilities.

North Lanarkshire Council hope to make efficiencies in their service provision whilst also helping to regenerate the Lanarkshire town.

Situated on a derelict site on the towns High Street the scheme is arranged around a central atrium. Fronting a revitalised public square the Buchanan Centre is designed to integrate with a surrounding pedestrian zone.

not quite a derelict site, it was the old baths that made way for this. Not so sure about about the 'revitalised public square' either!

When you photograph new buildings, please give them a context. It is impossible to tell if they relate in any way to the adjacent built forms and spaces - and we all know how many architects adore themselves and consider their work to be 'beyond contextualism', or crass insensitive as many recipients of their divine inspiration would describe it!

I'm pretty sure that's a computer generated image (unless they really have gone for 'building name' as the building name).
