Graven at BBC

May 11 2005

Graven Images has been appointed as interior designers for the new BBC headquarters, at Pacific Quay, by David Chipperfield.
The BBC’s project director, Ian Marley, said that Graven Images had been chosen because of its “infectious energy” and that its “range of stimulating ideas really impressed the selection panel.”
Ross Hunter, director at Graven, said: “We are all really excited about the opportunity to do something of this importance in our home town – it’s a great building and a magnificent challenge.”
John Dee, head of design at BBC, said: “We were very impressed by the Graven Images projects we visited, and by the wide range of work undertaken. Their appreciation of David Chipperfield’s building was impressive, their enthusiasm for the work of BBC Scotland was passionate, and their energy in the competition infectious. They will be great to work with.”
