Archial Architects have completed the first phase of the £28m Langside College campus, one week ahead of schedule.

The new facility creates a primary entrance space off Battlefield Road and will allow Langside College to expand their educational provision with purpose built science laboratories, engineering workshops, art studios, a beauty therapy centre and training kitchens.

Work will commence this month on the demolition of adjoining 1960’s buildings which stand in the way of a new sports hall and theatre.

A final phase of works in autumn 2010 will provide pedestrians with access to Mount Florida station from via a new landscaped plaza.
