Blaze malaise for Coliseum
A major fire has ripped through the derelict County Bingo Hall on Eglinton Street, formerly the Coliseum theatre.

Images from the scene showed the structure engulfed in flame but it is too early to say if any façade retention will be possible.

Designed by theatre architect Frank Matcham the Edwardian edifice was opened in 1905 and was dominated by an octagonal red ashlar tower.
