Ryder riding high
Against a backdrop of consolidation, entrenchment, lay offs and closure Ryder Architecture are bucking the trend by expanding their Glasgow office.

An additional 100sqm of space is being taken at the practices Glaswegian base with capacity for an additional ten staff, having recently recruited three new members and with plans to recruit again at the start of 2009.

Ryder’s Glasgow office was established in 2006 to service a growing Scottish client-base and in that period has expanded from six members of staff to 16.

Ryder has recently been selected as part of the Facilities Scotland framework for the NHS.

Current projects include St Andrew’s Community Hospital, South Ayrshire Schools PPP, Bonhill and Goldenhill Primary Schools.

Gareth Yule, associate of Ryder Architecture, said: “The Scottish marketplace is key for Ryder Architecture and the business has seen significant growth in this area since setting up the Glasgow office.

“The expansion to larger premises reflects our confidence in the company’s continued expansion in the Scottish market, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare."

Ryder will move into its new larger premises at 221 West George Street in early December.
