Our friendly and creative architectural practice is currently on the lookout for an ambitious and enthusiastic studio administrator to join our team.
This exciting role will be busy and varied and as the company grows from strength to strength, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your administrational career in one of Scotland leading architectural practices.
You’ll have exceptional customer service and computer skills with at least 2-3 years’ relevant experience working in an administrative role, ideally within a similar environment, e.g. architect / professional consultancy.
The work varies from days to day, therefore we are looking for a proactive and professional all-rounder.

Key responsibilities;

• Provide a friendly welcome to visitors to the studio and offering to make a welcome brew.
• First point of contact for incoming telephone calls.
• Monitor and order office supplies including stationery, cleaning products, catering and
printer meter readings.
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail, couriers and the booking of taxis / general
travel.
• Scanning of documents for emailing and archiving.
• Arranging meetings / appointments on behalf of architectural staff as and when required.
• Coordination of daily filing (currently paper & electronic filing).
• Maintain office housekeeping standards e.g. meeting spaces kept clean and tidy
• Ensure H&S standards and maintenance are met to ensure safe working
environment including Fire Safety / First Aid / Alarm.

Skills you already have;

• High standard of spelling and grammar
• A good team player as well as the ability to work unsupervised
• An ability to remain calm when working to a deadline and faced with a heavy
workload.
• A can-do attitude and commitment to personal learning and development.
• Proficient in Office 365, email and internet is essential
• First class communicator and self-starter with a motivated and flexible approach and
excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

Skills which you might have or could develop;

• Understanding company finance.
• Supporting the Accountant in collating and processing information relating to payroll,
staff expenses, debtors, creditors, purchase orders and invoices.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite desirable.
    
Qualifications

 • Equivalent or higher than SVQ in Business and Administration

Salary: £18,500 with salary progression opportunities
Days & hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
Based in our Glasgow studio with the occasional trip to our Edinburgh studio.
After 3-month probationary period: Pension / cycle to work scheme / discounted gym membership
