Recruitment drive for Ayrshire practice
Lawrence McPherson Associates have announced the appointment of Jim McGinlay to the position of Senior Architect.

Jim (41), who joins the company from Thomas Design Architects of Carmunnock, is the latest recruit to join the rapidly expanding company.

Jim brings experience on numerous projects from the A-listed Cloncaird Castle in Ayrshire to industrial buildings like Lightbody Celebration Cakes factory in Hamilton and office developments such as Deer Park in Livingston.

A graduate of the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, Jim said: “I am delighted to be joining such a progressive and forward thinking architectural practice and I can’t wait to get my teeth into some new challenges.”

Partner Euan Lawrence said: “Despite the credit crunch we have never been busier and we are pleased to welcome someone with Jim’s experience and reputation to the Practice.”

Founded in 1994, Lawrence McPherson Associates has grown significantly in recent years with an existing staff of 24 people. The Practice is the biggest architectural and town planning Practice in Ayrshire.   The Musselburgh office is located in a historic former mill building at Eskmills.

The company was recently selected for a framework agreement with NHS Ayrshire & Arran, which could see the company working on several multi-million pound building projects a year.
