South Lanarkshire Council have launched full online access to planning submissions, negating the need to traipse down to council offices.

A fully searchable database will allow individuals to search by applicant, status, location, decision and development type.

The South Lanarkshire planning portal is the first realisation of wider moves to form a national planning system.   This is hoped to be made available to the public by 2009 and will enable users to submit applications online.
