Ayr affordable housing project begins to rise
CCG and Ayrshire Housing have begun realization of their vision to deliver 39 affordable homes in Ayr on a long-standing gap site off Peebles Street.

Incorporating on-site parking and a landscaped courtyard the LMA designed project has been made possible by grant funding from the Scottish Government and South Ayrshire Council to subsidise rents.

Calum Murray, Director of CCG, said: “By using offsite methods of construction, CCG is able to ensure the highest quality standard as semi-automated conditions offer enhanced levels of consistency and accuracy as well as improved levels of environmental performance - a key advantage for future residents in reducing energy bills. When on site, the use of our system offers a much faster speed of build when compared to traditional methods which will reduce the impact of works on the town centre location.”

As with all CCG projects the scheme will employ offsite construction methods with a panelised timber frame manufactured and assembled in a factory environment, prior to being transported to site for completion of insulation, wall linings, windows and doors.
