Red Clydeside returns with Radisson reveal
Radisson Hotel Group have opened their first new-build Red branded hotel in Europe in Glasgow, an attempt to stand out from the crowd with an informal style and focus on contemporary design.

Situated at the Lancefield Quay, adjacent to the SECC and Hydro venues, Red Glasgow offers 174 rooms decorated in bold wallpaper designed by Glaswegian comic artist Frank Quitely. Guests will also benefit from smart technology in every room as well as a bar, restaurant – including a rooftop bar.

Richard Moore, area senior vice president, UK, Ireland & Western Europe at Radisson Hotel Group said: “Radisson Red is bold and pushes the boundaries of the traditional hospitality experience, and I can’t think of a better fit for the UK’s first Red than the city of Glasgow.

“We’re genuinely excited to give people the opportunity to enjoy Red, and I feel confident that as well as having a fantastic product in a great location, we have the best team in place to deliver a memorable and Red experience for guests.”

Designed by ADF Architects the £30m build employs a dynamic façade which shifts hue dependant on the time of day and weather conditions.
