Dundee to receive 32 new affordable homes
Hackland + Dore Architects have whipped up plans for an affordable housing development of 32 houses and cottage flats for Home Group on 1.2ha of brownfield land at Pitkerro Road, Dundee.

The L-shaped site will be developed by Cruden Homes to complement an existing housing estate and landscaping to mitigate noise pollution from the main road.

In their design statement the architects said: “All buildings are to be two-storey with 30 degree pitched tiled roofs in keeping with the surrounding context. Proposed materials are concrete roof tiles, render and brick. As the development is relatively small scale, similar elevational treatments have been adopted across the site to give a homogenous identity.”

Each home will offer 70sq/m of floor space at a minimum.
